This is one of those things you hope you will never need, then the weather turns and suddenly snow and ice becomes hazardous to your business operation, possibly endangering your staff and customers due to perilous access to your property.
We have all come to expect that the highway authorities will not salt and clear everywhere, as much as we would want them to. There is no council service given to local industrial estates, private car parks or walkways. These are your responsibility along with associated Health & Safety implications. We can also offer snow clearance as a separate service.
WHAT WE DO
- Sell salt by the bag. Deliver salt to meet the standard for spreading on highways for winter maintenance (BS 3247 : 1991) (Whatever the weather!). Spread salt with our spreaders for winter maintenance according to BS 1622 : 1989.
- We offer a fixed price service to spread salt when road temperatures are at red or amber warning levels. We will also reserve agreed quantities of salt for contracted clients.
- We subscribe to the same Met. Office Road Temperature Reports as used by Local Authorities.
